Speaking on women’s empowerment and charisma at the Carolina Herrera’s Good Girl Fragrance launch. Such an engaging audience. I closed the presentation with a reading from my book: Tracking the Wild Woman Archetype.(Available on Amazon)

The feminist movement has been invaluable in creating options for women. However, women’s equality is limited to equality within a patriarchal purview. Women as equals to men involves climbing corporate ladders, earning equal pay, enjoying equal partitioning of the work involved in homemaking and other responsibilities. The truth is these ideals have not been achieved particularly for women who become mothers. The intention of the feminist movement may be better expressed as women’s right to be wild feminine women—feminine being equal to masculine as well as women being equal to men. How can we wild women be feminine feminists? How can we express our right to be feminine: unclear, submissive, passive, receptive, chaotic, sublime, lunar, sexual, adventurous, playful, creative, embodied, emotive, pluralistic, and maternal? The economic and social pressures on wild mothers whether partnered or single make it a near impossible reality. How can we be feminine without the misuse or abuse of women or the soul?” (page 117)
