Fee:
Dr. Shelby’s standard fee is $220 USD, tax inclusive, or $275 CDN, plus 5% GST, per 60 min. session. I am registered in BC as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BCACC. Many extended benefit plans will reimburse clients, but you will want to confirm your personal coverage. I do not offer direct billing.
Siarra Sens: practicum student: $100 CDN, plus 5% GST for individuals. $120 CDN, plus 5% GST for couples (sliding scale on request based on financial need).
Bec Simone: practicum student: $80 CDN, plus 5% GST
Appointments are available Monday through Friday at various times of day depending on the day. Our team works internationally but we schedule based on the Pacific Time Zone.
Coaching:
Many clients prefer the receipt be made out for Coaching as a tax deduction. This fits within the scope of our work together and I recommend it for those who do not have benefits.
Insurance:
Dr. Shelby carries $2-million professional liability insurance.
Extended Health Care Benefits, EAP or EFAP:
Many extended health care benefit insurers cover the services of a RCC (Registered Clinical Counselor) – very often it is offered as the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). I am no longer offering the service of billing insurance companies directly; please speak to your insurer about coverage and reimbursement. Note: Registered Clinical Counsellor is not the same as a Registered Psychologist.
Payment:
Canadian e-transfer, or credit card, Venmo, Zelle, or Paypal can also be used for US and international clients.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation with 24-hours-notice is acceptable, though more notice is greatly appreciated to fill the appointment time for another client. If you do not provide the minimum of 24-hours-notice, you will be responsible for the full cost of the session.
