An evening lecture with Jung Utah — Season 18: Archetype
Across mythology, depth psychology, and alchemy, the figures of the Queen and King symbolize something far greater than gender. They represent the emergence of inner authority — the capacity to govern one’s life from a deep center rather than from fear, conditioning, approval-seeking, or unconscious forces.
In this evening presentation, Dr. Stacey Shelby explores sovereignty as an archetypal journey. Drawing from Jungian psychology, mythology, dreamwork, and alchemical symbolism, she examines the development of the Sovereign Queen and Sovereign King as expressions of mature consciousness — touching themes of self-rule, authority, vitality, desire, creativity, beauty, instinct, and the liberation of the psyche from inherited limitations.
A brief experiential exercise invites participants into a direct encounter with the archetypal energies being discussed.
